Walter Herzog bildet hier die berühmte Nike von Samothrake in zwei Seitenansichten ab und stellt diese gewissermaßen spiegelbildlich gegenüber. Die im Bild rechte Ansicht weist stärkere Verschattungen auf. Das griechisch-hellenistische Original der Siegesgöttin befindet sich heute im Louvre in Paris und entstand vermutlich um 190 v. Chr.
